Okay so my travel page ‘Luxe Surf Style’ doesn’t usually stray too far from coastal shorelines but if I must do business orientated city stays I will often choose from the expansive global hotel fleet courtesy of the esteemed Fraser Hospitality group – the epitome of corporate chic.
Sydney’s Fraser Suites is an ultra stylish establishment offering 5 star self serviced city apartments, with a range of sophisticated studios, luxury suites and opulent split-level penthouse residences to choose from. The property features excellent amenities including; a state of the art fitness centre, swimming pool and on-site business and function facilities.
Since I was in town for an international travel media event it made complete sense to stay here and expertly balance my time between industry meetings and recreational social gatherings. Whether your Sydney venture is focused on business and/or leisure, Fraser Suites Sydney boasts a superb central location within close proximity to plenty of the regions entertainment, dining and shopping precincts. The hotels ultra friendly front office team and concierge service will happily guide you in right direction to find what you need – don’t hesitate to ask them to arrange reliable transport for you too.
In saying that, you’re in easy walking distance to many of Sydney’s top eats and drinks! Of course, you could simply retire to your luxury suite and order from the exquisite in-room dining menu or cook up a feast in your fully equipped kitchen space overlooking the vast Sydney city skyline.
By the way, Sydney’s famed Japanese restaurant, Tetsuya’s is just across the road & you’ll want to book well in advance to secure a table there. Which, is 100% worth it!
Luxury Self Contained Sydney Accommodation
There’s an array of fully serviced five star suites to select from here. I stayed in the super sleek One Bedroom Apartment which is ideal for corporate travellers, couples and those seeking a classy ‘long stay’ city vacation accommodation option. The fully furnished apartment was aesthetically impressive and completely functional (win, win) with a spacious lay out that boasted separate living, dining, bedroom and study areas.
Bonus points for the deep sleep experience in the comfy king sized bed -as much as that Sydney city skyline view is delightful the total block out blinds were a blessing come morn.
I also had to the opportunity to inspect the luxury penthouse apartments & as the name suggests no expense has been spared in creating this sophisticated space – the panoramic city views are outstanding from the apex penthouse vantage point. It features a state of the art home entertainment system, a modern well-equipped kitchen, floor to ceiling windows and plush furnishings that make for a perfect place to celebrate your most special event. The penthouse suite is a verified example of luxe city living done right.

Dining
The decadent breakfast buffet is served on the 10th floor daily and features a terrific selection of continental breakfast offerings plus a la carte options. Come down to the sophisticated mezzanine area and enjoy a top quality cup of java as you sample your way through the ample breakfast choices and flick through (as I do) the daily newspapers.
In-room dining matches Fraser Suites Sydney’s luxury lifestyle too. Think aromatic risottos, tender steaks, nutritious vegetarian dishes and heavenly deserts. Keep in mind that many guests utilize the modern kitchen facilities within the suite to prepare meals and entertain friends.

There’s plenty to see and do in the harbour city and your Fraser Suites location is conveniently situated within close distance of the following Sydney highlights;
- 5 minute walk to QVB (Queen Victoria Building) – Sydney’s luxe retail shopping and dining precinct.
- 11 minute walk to Darling Harbour – head here to explore Paddy’s Market, Sydney’s Chinese Gardens, the Australian National Maritime Museum, Star City Casino and the Sydney Aquarium.
- The Rocks district – a neighborhood of historic cobblestone lanes with boutique eateries, art galleries and theatres. Tip; the Observatory Bar is my pick for a memorable after-work aperitif with colleagues and/or social cocktail rounds with friends.
